What is AirSewa 2.0?
To help address complaints efficiently, the Centre has launched the AirSewa 2.0, a digital platform to provide a “safe and comfortable digital experience” to flyers. The Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Commerce & Industry, Suresh Prabhu, and Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha launched the upgraded version of AirSewa 2.0 web portal and mobile app in New Delhi today.
- The Portal will have an updated frequently asked questions (FAQ) section.
- The Portal will be linked with BHIM app to make payments.
- It will also have real time information on flight schedules and chatbot service to provide interactive customer services, among other features.
Speaking on this occasion the Civil Aviation Minister said that a need was felt for development of an upgraded version of AirSewa to provide a superior user experience with enhanced functionalities. The government had launched Air Sewa’s maiden version in 2016 as a part of its initiative, ‘Digital India’, to address customers’ grievances on a digital platform. The upgrade and improved version of AirSewa operates through an interactive web portal as well as through a mobile app for both android and iOS platforms and will offer passengers a convenient and hassle-free air travel experience.
Suresh Prabhu and Jayant Sinha also gave away the champion award to Chennai airport which saw hundred percent timely closure of grievances in one year. Secretary Civil Aviation, Dr.Guruprasad Mohapatraand other officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation were present on this occasion.
